The Rose Collection: Bracelet (#R2)
The Rose design depicts a field of roses. Roses and gardens were beloved by many Mughal rulers. Their palaces and monuments often had architecturally designed gardens. The tradition of rose gardens started with Emperor Babur, the grandfather of Mehr-un-Nissa's husband Jahangir, and continued with Jahangir and his son, Emperor Shah Jahan, who built the famous Shalimar Garden in Lahore.
In the Rose jewelry collection, the relief pattern is hammered, molded and etched out of 22K gold. The pieces are lacquer-filled.
